Globally, India is expected to have the largest Main
Steam Isolation Valve (MSIV) market during the 2014–2025 forecast period. In
the global nuclear power market, India has one of the most extensive
development plans, including the construction of more than 35 nuclear reactors.
China is expected to be the second largest market for nuclear MSIVs, followed
by South Korea, Russia, the US, Vietnam, the UK, France and Ukraine.
Europe to have Highest Main Steam Isolation Valve Market
Value between 2014 and 2025
In the global nuclear power
market, Europe is expected to have the largest regional market value for MSIVs,
at around $70.8m for the period between 2014 and 2025. The Asia-Pacific market
will lag slightly behind at $66m. However, the market for Japan has been
excluded from the Asia-Pacific analysis owing to the uncertain scenario in the
country. Russia, France and Ukraine in Europe, and India, China and South Korea
in Asia-Pacific are the key countries contributing to the regional MSIV market.
However, worsening ties between Ukraine and Russia stand to jeopardize
Ukraine’s nuclear development plans, rendering demand for MSIVs unpredictable.
Vietnam will Lead in Nuclear New Builds among the
Emerging Countries
Among countries such as
Turkey, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Vietnam, and others that are planning
to develop nuclear power, Vietnam is expected to install the largest nuclear
power capacity by 2025, with plans to install a total of nine nuclear reactors
by 2025, with an aggregate capacity of 9.4 Gigawatts (GW). Turkey and the UAE
will have the next largest capacity online by 2025, among these emerging
nuclear countries.
